Meet Treneé

Treneé Tunick, MSW, LCSW

There IS Hope.

I’m Here to Help!

My goal is to provide you a safe and comfortable environment for you to settle in and share your story. Everybody has one that has influenced who you are today. Counseling is meant to be a collaborative experience. A place where you can explore your thoughts, dreams, barriers and your pain to create the positive change you want in your life.

Effective therapy is what works for you and provides tools to create success in achieving your goals. This means you need to feel your counseling relationship is a good fit. Each person is unique. You and I will work together to determine what your needs are and how we will address those needs.

You are not alone.

My Background

I received my bachelor’s degree and hold a Master of Arts degree in Social Work from Eastern Washington University. My clinical license as a Social Worker means I have had over 3 years of supervision post graduate as well as taking an exam to ensure I have the knowledge to provide treatment. I have been in social work for over 15 years and have enjoyed my diversified experiences. These include working in crisis situations, long term care and life plan communities, working with homeless veteran’s and counseling in private practice.

I have worked with teenagers, adults, older adults, caregivers and couples for pre-marital and marital counseling. I am a facilitator for Prepare-Enrich which is used specifically for pre-marital and marital counseling. I have experience in Christian Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Grief Recovery.

I enjoy sharing these tools with others and am happy to present to places of business, organizations, churches, etc. on topics of Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Grief, Dementia and Suicide.

My Approach & Philosophy

I provide counseling and offer a Christian perspective if this is important to you. I personally am a Christian and believe God is ultimately in control of my life.

When I was young I went to Christian camp every summer. One summer, as a teenager, I was introduced to this scripture. Even though we go through pain God knows what he is doing in our lives and this scripture reminds me that I may not be able to see the future but I know who holds it.

“I look up to the hills, but where will my help come from? My help comes from the Lord. He is the maker of heaven and earth. He will not let you be defeated. He who guards you never sleeps…God is your guardian…God protects you as the shade protects you from the sun…He will guard your life. God will guard you…now and forever.”
